St. Cloud and Chisholm Park Beach/Swimming Area Closed Until Further Notice

On October 10th, 2017, the Florida Department of Health, in Osceola County, obtained unsatisfactory samples from the water at the St. Cloud Beachfront, as well as, the Chisholm Park Beachfront. Due to a higher than normal bacteria level, both beach and swimming areas will be closed until further notice. Please adhere to all posted signs and remain out of the water until further notice. The Women’s Center Recognized by State as Exceptional Employer of Those With Disabilities

The Women’s Center of Orlando  was recently recognized by the state of Florida for hiring people with disabilities and for being exceptional employers of people with special abilities. The businesses from around the state were honored with a plaque made by individuals with unique abilities. The 12th annual celebration was held at Tallahassee City Hall as part of recognizing October as Disability Employment Awareness Month. Mobile Home Fire in St. Cloud Claims the Life of an 11 Year Old Boy

An 11-year-old boy was pronounced dead after a fire broke out in a mobile home at the Golden Grove Mobile Home Park in St. Cloud on Wednesday. St. Cloud Police Department and St. Cloud Fire Rescue responded to a residential mobile home fire at 1130 Lime Drive and were on scene within minutes. When they arrived at the scene of the fire the residence was already fully engulfed in flames, making it impossible for rescue personnel to make entry into the mobile home. In November 2017, St. Cloud Regional Medical Center will break ground on a multi-million dollar ER Expansion project.  The project will significantly expand the facility and enhance the patient experience. Orange County Sheriff Deputies are requesting the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in the attempted kidnapping a 4-year-old boy at SeaWorld’s Aquatica water park.
