A 30-year-old man was killed in a crash in Poinciana on Monday just before 4 pm, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash took place near Marigold Avenue and Poinciana Parkway.
According to FHP, the man was driving a sedan westbound on Marigold Avenue when, for an unknown reason, traveled off the road and struck a utility pole.
After hitting the pole, investigators said the car then struck a signpost.
Investigators said the man later died at the Poinciana Medical Center.
FHP’s report shows the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The accident remains under investigation.
