A 53-year-old man from Kissimmee was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Osceola County on Tuesday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash took place just before 8 p.m. along West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, near Old Vineland Road in Kissimmee.
According to the FHP crash report, an unknown vehicle was traveling west on U.S. Highway 192 (W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) east of Old Vineland Road in the center lane when it hit the man who was walking north and entered directly into the vehicle’s path.
Troopers said the pedestrian who was struck was not walking inside a marked crosswalk. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
