A 63-year-old Orlando woman was fatally struck by a pickup truck while crossing US192 in Celebration Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash took place shortly after 10pm when a pickup truck traveling westbound in the inside left turn lane of Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway approaching Celebration Boulevard, struck a woman who was walking northbound across the roadway, not in a marked crosswalk, and entered into the direct path of the pickup truck.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP’s crash report.

The 33-year-old Kissimmee man driving the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene, troopers said.

FHP is still investigating.
