KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Friday night at Osceola Heritage Park was about more than just basketball, as the Osceola Magic celebrated Ranchers Night while grinding out a hard-earned 119–114 victory over the Noblesville Boom.
Ranchers Night also honored the people whose dedication has helped shape Osceola County for generations, including Kaye Whaley, whose heart for giving back was sparked early while growing up in a family that helped build and grow the Silver Spurs Rodeo from its earliest days.
That foundation led Whaley to more than 30 years of service in education, and today she proudly serves as the organization’s Big Boss, continuing to lead with the same commitment to youth, heritage, and community. Her recognition reflected the spirit of Ranchers Night—celebrating the roots, resilience, and leadership that define Osceola County.
Student Athlete Spotlight Recognition
The Magic also spotlighted local student excellence, recognizing Karolyna Adams of St. Cloud High School as a Student Athlete Spotlight Award recipient for the 2025–2026 school year.
Adams was honored for her outstanding achievements in athletics, academics, community involvement, and leadership, exemplifying the values of dedication and service celebrated throughout the evening.
Magic Finish Strong on the Court
On the hardwood, the Magic improved to 14–4 on the season behind a clutch fourth-quarter performance from Lester Quiñones, who scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in the final frame. Quiñones was perfect down the stretch, shooting 5-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from three-point range to seal the win.
Osceola jumped out to a strong start, shooting 56.1 percent in the first half and taking a 69–59 halftime lead. Alex Morales scored 11 points, while Will Baker and Reece Beekman each added 10. Beekman returned from injury with 14 points and 10 assists.
Noblesville surged in the third quarter, outscoring the Magic 34–19, led by Taelon Peter and former Magic forward Jalen Slawson, who recorded his first career triple-double with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists.
But Osceola responded with composure in the fourth quarter, executing late and closing out the gritty win.
“If we’re in striking range in the fourth, we feel like we’re going to close,” head coach Dylan Murphy said. “The guys executed what we talked about in film, stuck together, and finished the job.”
