As expected, Joe Biden won the Florida democratic presidential primary.

In Osceola, Biden carried 50.75 percent of the vote (13,484 of 26,570 cast). Bernie Sanders (28.9 percent) was a distant second. Despite dropping out of the race, Michael Bloomberg (12.9) and 13 other candidates received votes.

As a routine matter, there was a Republican primary, and Donald Trump got 93.4 percent of the vote in Osceola, or all but 980 of 14,879 votes cast.

Through early voting, vote by mail and Tuesday’s election day, Osceola County had 28.59 percent voter turnout (41,564 out of 145,368)

Biden also won the Illinois and Arizona primaries. Georgia, Louisiana, Ohio and Kentucky all postponed their scheduled primaries due to the coronavirus situation.
