An individual was arrested on Thursday after reportedly stealing a white pickup truck then trying to evade a chase by Osceola Deputies and an armored vehicle that ended in St. Cloud, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said that the individual barricaded inside the pickup on 17th Street near Oregon Avenue after stop sticks were used to end the chase.
Osceola Deputies and St. Cloud Police Officers worked together to coax the armed individual, who had been seen placing a helmet on his head at one point, out of the truck, where he was placed in custody. No one was injured during the incident, and the investigation is active.
