ST. CLOUD, Fla. — History will come alive in downtown St. Cloud on Sunday, February 1, 2026, as the Museum of Military History hosts Civil War Day, a free, family-friendly event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, 1101 Massachusetts Avenue in St. Cloud.
Civil War Day will feature authentic Civil War reenactors, immersive living history demonstrations, and a variety of local vendors, offering attendees a hands-on opportunity to experience a pivotal era in American history. Organizers say the event is designed to be both educational and engaging for all ages.
A major highlight of the day will be the grand reopening of the historic Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) Hall, an important landmark that reflects St. Cloud’s deep roots in veteran history and historic preservation. The reopening marks a renewed commitment to preserving the site and sharing its story with future generations.
According to the Museum of Military History, the event aims to honor Civil War history while also recognizing local heritage, veterans, and ongoing historic preservation efforts throughout Central Florida.
Admission to Civil War Day is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend and take part in a meaningful day of history, education, and community connection.
