In an effort to foster environmental stewardship and beautify the community, District 3 County Commissioner Brandon Arrington will host a special ‘Earth Day Tree Giveaway’ event this Saturday April 20 from 10am – 12pm at Valencia College’s Poinciana Campus, located at 3255 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee.

The event will operate as a drive-up service where participants are encouraged to bring a vehicle that can accommodate a tree in a 3-gallon container, approximately 4 to 6 feet tall. This unique setup ensures that the trees can be safely and conveniently transported to their new homes.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive:

  • Trees Ready for Planting: A variety of trees well-suited for our Osceola County climate.
  • Native Flowering Plants: Enhance your garden’s diversity with native flora which supports local wildlife.
  • Tree Care Handouts: Detailed guides on how to care for your new tree to ensure its growth and sustainability.
