Osceola Sheriff’s Office arrested John Carlos Vazquez on burglary, battery, and possession of heroin and cocaine charges after he beat a victim with his own weed trimmer in his garage on Sunday.

On Sunday the Osceola County sheriff deputies responded to the area of Stratton Circle in Kissimmee after being called about a possible robbery. The victim was home with his garage door open when he realized someone was in his garage removing lawn equipment. The victim confronted the suspect and the two began fighting. According to the Osceola deputies, during the fight, the suspect beat the victim with his weed eater then fled the scene with the stolen equipment. Fortunately, the victim was able to record the suspect’s license plate number.

On Monday Osceola detectives located and arrested the suspect, John Carlos Vazquez. At the time of the arrest Vazquez was in possession of heroin and cocaine and was booked into the Osceola County Jail on zero bond for Occupied Burglary to a Dwelling, Robbery with a Weapon, Aggravated Battery, Dealing in Stolen Property, Petit Theft, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.|
