A driver was ejected and died on the Florida Turnpike Tuesday in Osceola County after rear-ending another vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
On Tuesday a 56-year-old Clermont man was driving his SUV southbound in the left lane of Florida’s Turnpike and came upon a 39-year-old man driving his pickup truck, also in the left lane.
The man in the SUV failed to slow down and struck the pickup truck from behind. The impact caused the driver of the SUV to lose control and go off the road. The SUV flipped ejecting the driver. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The man in the SUV was not wearing a seatbelt.
