Operation Green Light Reinstatement Event

Operation Green Light is a statewide driver’s license reinstatement initiative held across Florida that provides eligible drivers with an opportunity to restore their driving privileges.
The program is designed for drivers whose licenses were suspended due to unpaid court fines and fees. During the event period, participants may pay their overdue balances or enroll in a payment plan without additional collection fees. Once outstanding costs are resolved and eligibility is confirmed, participants receive the “green light” to have their suspended license reinstated.
The initiative also helps recover unpaid fines and fees statewide, generating millions of dollars in collections that support public services and dozens of state trust funds tied to criminal justice operations. These fines are also a primary funding source for Florida’s Circuit and County Court Clerks.
Officials note that not all license suspensions qualify for reinstatement through Operation Green Light. Drivers are not eligible if their license was suspended or revoked due to unpaid child support, a DUI, failure to complete a required driver training or substance abuse program, a traffic-related felony, or being classified as a habitual traffic offender under Florida Statute 322.264.
