The fundraiser will offer residents an opportunity to support pediatric cancer research through participation\, donations\, and volunteer service. \nA St. Baldrick’s fundraiser is designed as a fun and meaningful way to raise funds\, with participants shaving or trimming their hair on stage to show solidarity with children facing cancer. Organizers note that community members can take part in several ways\, including registering as a “shavee” or “trimee\,” collecting donations ahead of time\, and receiving a haircut during the program. Organizers emphasized that hair typically grows back\, making the gesture both symbolic and impactful. \nResidents may also contribute by donating either online or in person to an individual participant or team\, with every dollar supporting the cause. In addition\, local\, licensed barbers are being sought to volunteer their services during the fundraiser\, with electric clippers required. \nLocal businesses are encouraged to participate by donating raffle prizes\, such as gift certificates or themed baskets\, to support fundraising efforts. DESCRIPTION:The March for Meals St. Patrick’s 5K Run/Walk will be held as a community fun run aimed at raising awareness of senior hunger while generating funds for the Meals on Wheels program in Osceola County through the Osceola Council on Aging. The race will be chip-timed\, with winners recognized across multiple age categories. \nOrganizers will present awards to the top 10 male and top 10 female overall finishers\, as well as to the top male and female finishers age 65 and older. The 2026 run is scheduled to take place just days before St. Patrick’s Day\, and participants are encouraged to celebrate the occasion by wearing green and dressing in festive\, “lucky” attire to help draw attention to the cause of ending senior hunger. \nParticipants are also encouraged to form teams and take part in the “Team Challenge” category. Awards will be given to the Most Spirited Team and the Largest Team in 2026. Organizers invite community members to assemble their teams\, show their spirit\, and support efforts to combat senior hunger by contributing to the Meals on Wheels program serving Osceola County. \nRegistration is currently open\, and organizers expressed appreciation to participants for their support\, noting they look forward to welcoming runners and walkers to the 2026 run. \n6:45am – Race-day Registration and Packet Pickup opens\n8:00am – 5K Fun Run/Walk begins\n9:00am – Awards\n9:15am – FREE Kids’ Dashes begin
