The Kissimmee Fire Department has achieved an internationally renowned accreditation from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI).
This honor is the result of an exhaustive evaluation process, including in-depth peer reviews of the department’s policies, operational practices, safety protocols, and a comprehensive on-site assessment. The accreditation process culminated in a final review and approval by the CFAI Board on February 27, 2024, underscoring the department’s commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest standards of fire safety and emergency services.
CFAI is dedicated to helping fire and emergency service agencies worldwide achieve organizational and professional excellence. By voluntarily seeking accreditation, Kissimmee Fire Department has ensured that it stays up-to-date on industry standards, follows best practices, ensures continuous improvement, and keeps citizens and fire personnel safe.
“We are incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work of our team to achieve full accreditation by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International,” says Kissimmee Fire Department Chief Jim Walls. “Being accredited allows us to remain at the forefront of the fire service and provide the best possible service to our citizens.”
