DT Minich, President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee, has been appointed to the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors, marking a significant milestone for both the local tourism authority and the Central Florida region.
With more than three decades in the tourism industry, Minich brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the state’s official tourism marketing organization. Since taking the helm of Experience Kissimmee in 2014, he has played a key role in elevating the destination’s profile among leisure travelers, event organizers, and the global tourism community.
Now, as the first executive from Experience Kissimmee to serve on VISIT FLORIDA’s board, Minich will join industry leaders across the state to help guide Florida’s tourism marketing strategies. His term will continue through June 2026.

Minich’s impact on the tourism industry extends beyond Osceola County. He holds the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) credential from Destinations International and currently serves on Sojern’s North America Destinations Advisory Board. His previous board service includes roles with the U.S. Travel Association Chairman’s Circle, the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, and the Dali Museum.
Before leading Experience Kissimmee, Minich directed tourism marketing efforts for both St. Pete-Clearwater and Fort Myers, where he began his career in destination marketing.
Experience Kissimmee serves as the official tourism authority for Osceola County and has established itself as a global player, promoting the region as the “Vacation Home Capital of the World®” with easy access to world-famous theme parks, natural attractions, and more than 30,000 vacation homes.
