Forty-two Osceola Schools, including all twenty-five elementary schools, earned Golden School Awards in the 2022-2023 school year. The Golden School Awards are the highest recognition for community involvement and exemplary volunteer programs for Florida Schools.
The award is presented to schools that meet certain criteria, including faculty training on how to work with volunteers and program policies and procedures. The school principal must designate a volunteer coordinator to provide leadership for the school volunteer program, and the school must have a total number of hours of volunteer service that equals or exceeds the number of students enrolled in the school. The district is extremely proud that every elementary school in Osceola County received the award this year.
