Just before noon, Bellalago Academy was put into a red lockdown after students reported seeing a gun in another student’s backpack. That student was quickly identified and secured, and the gun was found to be a BB or airsoft CO2 pistol, all black in color.
After a thorough search, an Student Resource Officer reported that a gun had been found earlier in a classroom by a substitute teacher. The gun was found to be a BB or airsoft CO2 pistol, all black in color.
The gun was secured and charges are pending. No other known threats and this is an isolated incident. This remains an active investigation.
