Osceola Deputies are searching for a man who they say shot another man in the face Wednesday morning near a West U.S. Highway 192 motel in Kissimmee, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting took place around 8 a.m. in front of Sam’s Pub and Lounge in the parking lot of the EconoLodge Inn & Suites, located at the 4600 block of W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.
“One subject was shot in the face, and he’s in the hospital in critical condition. The other subject fled the area, and we still haven’t identified him,” Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said. “This is a drug area, a drug hotel, so a lot of things happen in the parking lot.”
According to investigators, the shooting was a result of a confrontation between two men, but they haven’t disclosed any further details about the shooting incident.
As of now, the shooter, who the Sheriff Lopez described as dark-skinned, remains unidentified and is being searched for by law enforcement authorities.
