The CVS Pharmacy is now doing free drive-through, self-service COVID-19 testing at the Hunters Creek location (13454 South Orange Blossom Trail, at Town Center Boulevard just south of 417), providing another testing option locally, especially for those on the north side of Kissimmee.
Currently, appointments are available through this weekend. You must drive up in a vehicle, since you’ll be administering your own nasal swab test.
To get a test, you must first go online to CVS’ COVID-19 screening site. You will be asked some questions about your background and the symptoms, if any, you’re exhibiting. If you qualify, you’ll choose an appointment time; 10-minute intervals are available between 9:30 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. You’ll be asked to provide contact info (email or cell number), license plate number and insurance information or Social Security number/card, although there’s no cost either way.
Drive up to the drive-through lane and use the one with the red and white sign. Have your ID and insurance info ready. A technician will hand off a test kit that you’ll administer and return through the drive-through drawer.
CVS says they’ll have tests that return results in either 30 minutes or two to four days, depending on the location. The Hunter’s Creek location is one of three in Central Florida offering tests.
