The City of Kissimmee marked its 142nd anniversary in grand style over the weekend with the return of its beloved Kowtown Festival, drawing large crowds to the Festival Lawn at Lakefront Park for an afternoon full of live music, family fun, and community pride.
Hosted by the City of Kissimmee, this year’s celebration proved to be the biggest birthday bash yet, as residents and visitors came together to honor the city’s rich heritage and vibrant growth. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the lakefront was buzzing with activity as families enjoyed live performances by country music stars Lanco, Sean Holcomb, while children played and explored in the KUA Kids Power Zone.
Food trucks and local vendors served up a wide range of delicious bites, keeping everyone fueled for the festivities. And, in classic birthday fashion, attendees were treated to free slices of birthday cake, bringing the community together to share in the celebration.
With Kissimmee among Florida’s fastest-growing cities, the Kowtown Festival serves as a meaningful reminder of its historical roots while embracing its forward momentum. City leaders say the annual event is a reflection of Kissimmee’s diverse culture, strong community spirit, and commitment to family-friendly experiences.
The 2025 Kowtown Festival was made possible through the generous support of Experience Kissimmee, Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA), and Toho Water Authority, key partners in bringing the city’s largest birthday celebration to life.
Whether you’ve lived in Kissimmee for decades or just recently moved to the area, the Kowtown Festival continues to offer a heartfelt glimpse into what makes the city a special place to call home.
🎉 Happy 142nd Birthday, Kissimmee! Here’s to honoring the past and celebrating the future.
