The City of Kissimmee’s City Hall has been honored with the 2025 Downtown Beautification & Innovation Award, presented by the Downtown Kissimmee Council (DKC). The award celebrates organizations that have made impactful enhancements contributing to a more vibrant and welcoming downtown environment.
City Hall, along with its recently updated Rain Garden, was unanimously selected by the DKC Board of Directors as the second recipient of the award this year. The recognition underscores the city’s ongoing commitment to public infrastructure improvements that promote community engagement and sustainability.
“As the city continues to grow and invest in downtown development, this recognition highlights our dedication to creating inviting and innovative spaces,” said Kissimmee Mayor Jackie Espinosa. “Our officials, staff, and community partners are all focused on making Downtown Kissimmee a thriving destination for residents, businesses, and visitors.”
Keith Ronan, Vice President of Positively Osceola and a member of the DKC Board of Directors, also praised the city’s efforts:
“The transformation of City Hall and the addition of the Rain Garden are great examples of how thoughtful design and innovation can enhance the charm and character of Downtown Kissimmee. This award is a reflection of the city’s vision and its commitment to a thriving, beautiful community.”
The award was formally presented to Mayor Espinosa and city officials during a visit to City Hall on Thursday, July 17, 2025. In celebration of the honor, a commemorative sign will be displayed at the Rain Garden for the next three months, and the recognition will also be showcased in the City Hall lobby.
