Just before 4 p.m., the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said it received a 911 call reporting an aggravated assault in Kissimmee, Capt. Jacob Ruiz said.

A construction worker in Kissimmee reported being shot by an unknown person while operating a construction vehicle near Myers Road. Deputies were called and responded to the scene.

A Sheriff’s Office helicopter was able to see a man hanging out of a window on the second story of a home in the 2700 block of Barclay Lane with some type of rifle.

Deputies quickly secured the area to ensure the safety of those in the Campbell Cove and Eagle Bay neighborhoods.

The Osceola Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded and were able to apprehend the suspect and place him into custody. The suspect has been identified as 21 year old Eduardo Torres-Bonet, and at this time there seems to be no relationship between the shooter and the construction worker. No one one was injured during the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222.
