A Kissimmee man died in an early Saturday morning crash that involved another car and a tree in Kissimmee, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
her The crash took place at 2:10 am on Simpson Road near Hilliard Isle Road with two SUVs, both driving northbound on Simpson Road one behind the other.
According to FHP, the SUV, driven by a 56-year-old Kissimmee man, failed to slow down for an some reason and struck the rear of the other SUV, driven by a 48-year-old Kissimmee woman.
The impact caused the man’s car to then veer across the southbound lanes of Simpson Road and strike a tree, according to the FHP crash report. The woman driving the other SUV suffered no injuries in the crash.
The man was later pronounced dead at Partin Settlement ER. Troopers said the crash is still being investigated.
