A 30-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash occurred around 5:12 p.m. on Orange Avenue near Mary Louise Lane. Preliminary investigations indicate the man was riding a 2017 Yamaha FJ-09 motorcycle southbound on Orange Avenue when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve in the roadway.
The motorcycle veered in a southwest direction onto the shoulder and struck a guardrail, causing the rider to be ejected from the vehicle. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities have not released the rider’s name. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
