Employee feedback earns KUA recognition among Central Florida’s leading employers, ranking 13th in the midsize workplace category for 2026.
KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) has once again been recognized as one of Central Florida’s top employers, earning a spot on the Orlando Sentinel’s 2026 Top Workplaces list for the fourth consecutive year.
The recognition places KUA among 134 Central Florida companies honored for creating positive workplace environments, demonstrating strong employee satisfaction and fostering cultures where employees feel valued and supported.
KUA ranked 13th among 24 companies in the midsize employer category, continuing a four-year streak of recognition that reflects the utility’s commitment to its workforce.
The Top Workplaces program bases its rankings entirely on confidential employee feedback collected through an independent survey administered by Energage, LLC. The survey evaluates 24 factors essential to organizational success, including employee engagement, leadership, appreciation, respect and workplace support.
“Being named a Top Workplace for the fourth consecutive year reflects the culture our employees help build every day,” said KUA President and General Manager Brian Horton. “Their dedication, ideas and commitment to one another make KUA a stronger organization. We’re proud to support our employees with opportunities to grow, succeed and make a meaningful impact.”
KUA employees were officially recognized during an awards luncheon held Friday, Oct. 2, in Orlando, celebrating organizations throughout the region that received the 2026 distinction.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Energage CEO Eric Rubino. “That’s something to be proud of.”
The fourth consecutive honor highlights KUA’s continued emphasis on employee engagement and workplace culture as the utility serves residents and businesses throughout Osceola County.
Founded in 1901, Kissimmee Utility Authority is Florida’s sixth-largest community-owned electric utility, providing power to approximately 100,000 customers in Osceola County.
