UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Danny White has announced an aggressive vision for the UCF Football Excellence Fund, with new giving levels. UCF Athletics’ goal is to secure commitments of over $1.5 million annually for the next five years.

The UCF Football Excellence Fund was established shortly after the arrival of UCF head coach Scott Frost. Its goal was to annually help provide operating resources for the Knights’ football program through charitable giving. In January of 2016, more than 20 stakeholders pledged nearly $400,000 annually over four years toward this initiative.

In an effort to help the Knights sustain their current momentum and success, the UCF Football Excellence Fund is now pursuing gift commitments ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 annually to further enhance the program’s operating resources.

Frost has committed to supporting the UCF Football Excellence Fund.

“I’m very excited about the success we’ve had in our time here and I’m committed to helping this program continue growing,” Frost said. “I’m happy to be part of the UCF Football Excellence Fund. We need more resources to keep taking this program where we want it to go. I’m hopeful my support will be a catalyst for others to jump on board and take part.”

Commitments to the UCF Football Excellence Fund will provide extraordinary resources in pursuit of competitive excellence. Those giving annually at the $25,000-$100,000 levels to the Football Excellence Fund will be part of the Athletic Director’s Circle, the GKC’s new annual donor stewardship program that will celebrate and recognize leadership-level donors to UCF Athletics. More information about the Athletic Director’s Circle will be released in the coming months.

“I truly believe we’re building something very special with this football program,” White said. “Competitive excellence in today’s college football landscape requires exceptional resources. UCF Football can continue to grow and get even better with the great support of Knight Nation. By supporting the UCF Football Excellence Fund, our fans and donors can have a dramatic impact on the future of the program and help build the financial foundation necessary to compete at the highest level.”
