Organizations like St. Cloud Main Street, the City of St. Cloud, the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, Kissimmee Main Street, the City of Kissimmee, the Osceola Chamber, and the Town of Celebration are working hard every day to support the small businesses that are so integral in the success of their local communities, and today, we can join in supporting those amazing small businesses.
Founded by American Express in 2010 and officially cosponsored by the Small Business Adminstration since 2011, Small Business Saturday has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. Historically, reported projected spending among U.S. consumers who shopped at independent retailers and restaurants on Small Business Saturday reached an estimated $17.9 billion according to the 2022 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey commissioned by American Express.
So, as you begin your holiday shopping fun, don’t forget those local businesses in St. Cloud, Kissimmee, Celebration, and Poinciana that are there for us all year.
St. Cloud Main Street will be set up at 1102 New York Avenue in downtown at 9am today, with 10th Street Produce, Jimmy Bear’s, and Bacon King to provide free breakfast for the first 100 people. After breakfast, stroll through downtown to save on unique, handmade, and locally curated gifts for everyone on your list.
Beginning at 11am today, Kissimmee Main Street has organized a host of business offerings and strolling fun, including appearances by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, that will help you find that special gift for that very special person in your life, while tempting your sweet and savory cravings at local eateries.
It’s all starting this morning, so get ready to head out and shop small!
