We’re less than a month away from the start of an Osceola County tradition… “rodeo season” at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee.

If the “main events” are the 144th Silver Spurs rodeo (Feb. 21-23) and the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo (April 3-4), then the “opening act” is the 9th annual Monster Bulls on Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

It’s a night of “just” bull riding, one of professional rodeo’s most popular events, when the Silver Spurs Riding Club shows off the best, baddest, fiercest and feistiest of its bull stock — After all, they’re monsters! — and the bravest of the bull riding cowboys take them on for a shot at bragging rights — and some cash — while getting the rides of their lives.

Thanks to Monster Bulls, cash also goes to worthy causes. The Spurs made a $9,000 donation to the Advent Health Foundation at last year’s Monster Bulls.

Tickets for the Southern State Bull Riding-sanctioned event are $15 for adults, and kids 10 and under are free. With every Monster Bulls ticket you buy, you will also receive free admission to the Osceola County Fair, which runs from Feb. 14-23.
