A new era of innovation officially began today in Osceola County as Chairwoman and District 2 Commissioner Viviana Janer, joined by county officials and community leaders, broke ground on the county’s first-ever Tech Library in Osceola County.

Located at the corner of Bill Beck Boulevard and Fortune Road, directly across from Osceola Heritage Park and minutes from NeoCity, this 11,000-square-foot facility is poised to become a game-changing hub for technology, education, and opportunity in the heart of the community.

“This will not be a traditional library filled with rows of books,” said Commissioner Janer during the ceremony. “Instead, it will serve as an innovative hub designed to spark creativity, expand learning, and open doors to new opportunities. This project builds on programs like Osceola Prosper, which provides free tuition to Valencia College or Osceola Technical College for local high school graduates. Together, these investments reflect our county’s commitment to diversifying our economy, strengthening opportunities, and preparing for the possibilities of tomorrow.”

The County says the Tech Library will serve as an equity-driven project—bridging the digital divide and ensuring that technology, innovation, and education are accessible to every resident, from students and families to job seekers and entrepreneurs.

The project has been made possible in part by a $4 million grant from the Florida Department of Commerce, with design by Schenkel Shultz and construction by ARNCO.

Chairwoman Janer emphasized that the facility will not only empower individuals but will also strengthen Osceola County’s position as a hub of technology and innovation.

“This isn’t just a library,” she said. “It’s a community game-changer.”

The Tech Library groundbreaking marks another milestone in Osceola County’s vision to shape a future fueled by innovation, learning, and opportunity. As the walls rise on Bill Beck Boulevard, so too does a new chapter for Osceola residents, where access to tomorrow’s tools begins today.
