One carjacking suspect has been caught and one is still being searched for in connection with a carjacking incident this morning just before 9am in the Hunter’s Creek area. Shortly before 9am this morning Osceola Sheriff deputies responded to 2751 Emerald Island Boulevard in Kissimmee after being called about a possible carjacking involving a black male who carjacked a woman after fleeing the car he was driving after an accident.
The carjacking was reported at 8:50 a.m.Tuesday in the area of 2751 Emerald Island Boulevard in Kissimmee, deputies said.
Osceola deputies reported that a man wearing a light colored tank top approached a woman with a baby and her passenger in a car and asked to use her cell phone after because he had been in a car accident. She refused, and suggested he used the apartment’s nearby club house phone instead. The man then pulled out a gun and repeatedly told her to get out of the car. Fearing for her life and the life of her baby and passenger the woman complied and everyone got out of the car safely.
The man and a woman that was with him got into the car and took off.
The stolen car was later found abandoned in The Village at Hunters Creek Shopping Center at South John Young Parkway and Town Loop in Orange County.
The female suspect who was part of the carjacking, Amber Dangerfield, 21, was captured nearby, but the male suspect remains on the loose, deputies said.
No injuries were reported.
