Last weekend, OUC employees, donned in hair nets and united by a common purpose, packaged over 20,000 meals for U.S. Hunger, demonstrating their dedication to combating food insecurity and supporting those in need.

But their efforts didn’t stop there. In addition to the impressive meal packaging, OUC volunteers assembled 1,000 personal care packages for Operation New Hope. These care packages, filled with essential hygiene items, are designed to support individuals striving for stability and self-sufficiency. The initiative is a testament to OUC’s broader mission of fostering community well-being and empowerment.

This volunteer event is part of OUC’s ongoing commitment to community engagement. Throughout the year, OUC hosts quarterly volunteer events for employees and their families, reinforcing the company’s dedication to making a positive impact beyond its core services of providing reliable electric and water utilities to the citizens of Orlando and surrounding areas.

A special shout-out is well-deserved for all the OUC employees who volunteered their time to make a positive difference one volunteer effort at a time.
