A Kissimmee woman driving a small utility vehicle was killed early Thursday morning in Harmony when a pickup truck rear-ended the UTV she was driving,  then drove over her, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Troopers said the crash took place in Harmony near Five Oaks Drive and Harmony Square Drive off of Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, across from Harmony High School just before 3:20 am.

According to FHP, a 39-year-old Kissimmee man was driving a 2015 GMC Sierra on a private dirt path and failed to see a Kawasaki Mule Side-by-Side UTV driven by a 38-year-old woman from Kissimmee stopped on the path.

The pickup rear-ended the Kawasaki, causing the driver of the Kawasaki UTV to be ejected. The pickup then ran over the driver of the UTV. The woman who was run over was taken to Orlando Health St. Cloud, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
