And if you have been to City Hall lately- you have already noticed that the Church Street Improvement Project is now complete, and residents, business owners, and visitors can enjoy the significant improvements made to this road. The project took approximately seven months at an approximate cost of $700K. Through the entire length of the project, sidewalks and crosswalks were upgraded to meet new ADA construction standards.

In addition, old asphalt was removed and repaved according to new construction and drainage standards, and efforts were made to improve stormwater drainage throughout the length of the entire project. Improvements to the road also include more angled, pull-in parking spaces. Finally, through the City’s partnership with Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA), more streetlights were added to make it safer and more convenient for everyone visiting the area.
