In September the Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments:

Yuling Liu, CPA, CFE – Director of Finance
During her career, Yuling Liu has held the following positions with the Florida Auditor General: Auditor (2004-2007); Senior Auditor (2007-2009); Lead Senior Auditor (2009-2018); and Audit Coordinator (2018-present).  She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, and a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. She has certifications as both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
 
Shawn Woodell – Director of Technology Services
During his career with the Osceola School District, Shawn Woodell has held the following positions: Technology Technician/Network Specialist (2004-2014) and Network Communications Analyst (2014-present). He earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix and a master’s in Digital Forensics from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Lastenia Penaloza – Coordinator for Multicultural Education
During her career, Lastenia Penaloza has held the following positions: Fiscal Officer for the Pomonok Community Center in New York (2003-2005); Teacher at Canoe Creek Charter (2005-2008); Educational Specialist at Kissimmee Charter Academy (2008-2011); School Administrator at Kissimmee Charter Academy (2011-2016); and Assistant Principal at Koa Elementary (2016-present).   She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Queens College, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and a doctorate degree in Performance Improvement Leadership from Capella University.
 
Timothy Burdette – Assistant Principal at Adult Learning Center Osceola
During his career in education, Timothy Burdette has held the following positions: Navy ROTC Teacher at Denn John Middle (2003-2010); Teacher at Liberty High (2008-2013); Career and Technical Education Program Specialist and ROTC Coordinator for the Osceola School District (2013-2018); and Dean of Students at St. Cloud High (2018-present). He is a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with Community Economic Development Concentration from Southern New Hampshire University and a master’s in Education Leadership from American College of Education.
