The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce announced it is postponing its iconic 2020 Christmas Parade.  After continued conversations with the City of St. Cloud, the St. Cloud Police Department and various other entities, it was decided that in the interest of public safety, the parade will be delayed.

Originally scheduled for December 5, the Parade is a long-standing St. Cloud tradition last year featuring over 130 entries and the first African-American Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The City, our Chamber Parade Committee and the Police Department tried to reimagine this year’s version of the parade in several different formats but we finally felt that trying to plan a parade that might draw as many as 10,000 people in a constantly changing health climate would be difficult at best.

Understanding what a historically meaningful event the Parade is to the St. Cloud community, our committee and our Board of Directors will continue to monitor these public health issues and if conditions improve present an event at a later date.
