A motorcycle crash on Hickory Tree Road Wednesday evening involving two St. Cloud residents left one man dead and another injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that on Wednesday just after 5:45 p.m., two men from St. Cloud were riding their motorcycles together northbound on Hickory Tree Road, just north of Chaplin Road, when one of the riders, a 48-year-old man, lost control of his Kawasaki motorcycle and veered into the Yamaha driven by a 29-year-old man.
The collision caused the Kawasaki to leave the roadway, where it struck a fence and a tree, killing the man. The younger motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital.
According to FHP, neither riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
