29-year-old, Hiram Ortiz, was arrested for attempted murder, armed Burglary and aggravated battery on an elderly person in connection with a home invasion on July 1st at 4001 Nolte Road in St. Cloud in which a 70-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times, according to St. Cloud Police.
The elderly victim was transported to the hospital with what later was determined to be non-life threatening injuries. Ortiz had fled the area and was not able to be located that night, however, St. Cloud Police were able to track Ortiz down and arrest him based upon evidence found at the scene led.
No other details have been released.
