A 40-year-old St. Cloud man has been arrested and charged with 24 counts of sexual battery after being accused of sexually abusing foster children under his care, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday evening.

During a press conference, Sheriff Marcos Lopez identified the suspect as Daniel Lamppin, a volunteer youth pastor, who was arrested following a months-long investigation that began in November 2024. According to authorities, the case was launched when a child disclosed that Lamppin had sexually abused them from ages 6 to 8.

A second victim, now an adult, also came forward and alleged that Lamppin began sexually abusing them at the age of 16—a pattern of abuse that reportedly “continued for years,” deputies said.

“This guy, he manages a Chick-fil-A on South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando and he volunteered as a youth pastor for a church here in St. Cloud,” Sheriff Lopez stated. “Because of his role as a foster parent and his involvement with youth ministry, we are concerned there may be additional victims out there.”

Lamppin now faces 24 counts of sexual battery by a custodian.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who may have been a victim or has information related to this case to call 407-348-2222.

“This investigation is far from over,” Sheriff Lopez added. “If there are others out there, we want to hear from you. We will support you and seek justice on your behalf.”
