The Kissimmee Police Department has identified and arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal incident of celebratory gunfire that occurred on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives identified Carlos Manuel Tejada (DOB: 01/06/1981) as the individual responsible for the tragic death of Carmen Rosa Neira Ochoa. On January 17, 2025, Tejada was arrested and charged with Manslaughter by Culpable Negligence.

In a statement, the Kissimmee Police Department extended its heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones. “Our thoughts are with them as we work to bring justice in this case,” the department stated.
