A man was arrested in Puerto Rico Wednesday for a shooting death in Kissimmee in May.

Edwin Samuel Colon-Vazquez, 30, was arrested and charged with homicide in the death of Reynier Camaco-Linares.

On May 10, 2020, at 4:36 AM, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Hilliard Court in Kissimmee in reference to a shooting. Deputies discovered Camaco-Linares had been shot. The owner of the residence had been hosting a small party. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but several days later the victim succumbed to injuries sustained from the gunshot wound.

During the investigation, Colon-Vazquez was identified as the suspect in the shooting. An warrant was obtained for his arrest for Homicide. Wednesday, Colon-Vazquez was captured near San Juan, Puerto Rico by United States Marshal’s Service Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force. Colon-Vazquez is being held on no bond while awaiting extradition back to Florida.
