]]> You’ve heard us talk many times over the last month about the Business Damage Assessment Survey, a self-reporting tool for area businesses to mark the affect COVID-19 has had on the local economy, so actions to implement appropriate relief programs can begin.

So, why the rerun? Because there may be something to get out of it now, other than charting your losses to state officials. Osceola County reports that, after filling out the survey,  federal, state or local agencies may reach out to you through the contact information provided if you indicate your interest in relief packages. Keep in mind the survey helps determine damage related to disaster impacts in Florida, and does NOT serve as an application for resources.

The Business Damage Assessment Survey can be taken online at https://floridadisaster.biz/. A Monday’s County Commission meeting, officials noted that over 300 county businesses had completed the survey and self-reported economic damage of $23 million as a result of COVID-19 outbreak.
