Combs will join Bailey Zimmerman, Jon Pardi, Mitchell Tenpenny, Russell Dickerson, Nate Smith, ERNEST, Priscilla Block and more.

Combs, a country megastar and North Carolina native, is celebrated not just in country music, but across the entire industry. As the first artist to hold the top two positions on the Country Airplay chart, Combs has had multiple smash hits, including his lauded cover of Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car,’ which he performed with Chapman at the Grammy Awards earlier this year. Among countless other accolades, Combs has earned eleven CMA awards, six Billboard Music Awards, and seven Grammy nominations and leads nominees at this year’s ACM Awards with eight nominations. Combs will headline Country Thunder Florida fresh off his record-breaking “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” U.S. stadium tour, which includes back-to-back nights at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium, Santa Clara’s Levi’s® Stadium and Phoenix’s State Farm Stadium and broke attendance records in each of its first three weekends.

Fans at Kissimmee will have the unique opportunity to see Combs up close and personal. Country Thunder’s Platinum Experience ($625+ fees) and Gold Circle ($350+fees) options guarantee the best spot of the weekend, with exclusive viewing areas right next to the stage! Platinum ticket holders will also experience full-service bars, luxury restrooms, reserved parking and sunscreen for long hot Florida days. For those not as fond of the great outdoors, Country Thunder’s luxury Glamping experience includes breakfast each morning, queen beds, a cooling unit, and a dedicated concierge. With a talent of this caliber joining us Sunday night, Country Thunder’s long-time devotees and first-time campers alike will round out their weekend on a high.”

In 2019 Country Thunder rocked Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee like never before, and country music fans throughout Central Florida could hardly wait for the 2020 lineup. That was until COVID-19 put the brakes on music venues all over the world in 2020 postponing Country Thunder Florida into 2021.

Tens of thousands of fans and top headlining acts have made their way back to Osceola and by the size of the crowds this weekend, Country Thunder is back and bigger than ever!

Old Dominion, Eric Church, and Dierks Bentley are this year’s headliners with other stars like Russell Dickerson, Hardy, Sawyer Brown, Dallas Smith and Kameron Marlowe appearing on the lineup.

On Friday, after rain and lightning delayed Dallas Smith’s set, the show went on with Lonestar, Lee Brice and Old Dominion kicking off the three-day country music festival in Kissimmee, Florida.

Rain continued on Saturday, but that didn’t stop the bands and the fans from coming out to celebrate country music and the 20th anniversary of 9/11 as they lifted their drinks along with the stars and stripes from one end of the festival to the other. One look at this weekend’s event and it’s easy to see the crowd has outdone the 2019 festival in a big country music way!

Saturday’s crowd was a sea of Eric Church shirts and other flare, but when Lanco kicked off their set, (short for Lancaster and Company with band members Brandon Lancaster, Chandler Baldwin, Jared Hampton, Tripp Howell, and Eric Steedly) the crowd put the pandemic and the rain in the rear view mirror. Lanco came to play and play they did from their opener to their closer. From center stage to the runway that stretched into the depths of the crowd, Lanco was full on with some serious musicianship and big time showmanship. As the band finished it was easy to hear the crowd chanting “ see you next year – see you next year,” and see them next year they might after setting up Eric Church with a crowd on fire!

Hard to believe, but when Church and his band took the stage to close Saturday out, the crowd took their excitement to an even hotter level. Fans left their seats and got busy singing with Church who has released nine studio albums through Capitol Nashville since 2005. Church never disappoints and Saturday’s show filled with slick vocals, energetic arrangements, and edge of the seat showmanship was no different. It was another epic performance from Church and his band that will put the pressure on Sunday’s lineup of Payton Smith, Kameron Marlowe, Jon Langston, Parker McCollum, Russell Dickerson, and headliner Dierks Bentley.

Tickets are still available for Country Thunder’s final day in 2021 at CountryThunder.com.

In an inevitable move, Country Thunder and the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo, both set to take place within the month at Osceola Heritage Park, will not due to the uncertainty of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Country Thunder announced late Friday that it would move from its March 27-29 dates to October 16-18. Headliners Kane Brown, Dierks Bentley and Eric Church have all been re-confirmed for those new dates, a release on the Country Thunder Florida website reads. If you already have tickets and camping packages, hold tight — they’re good for the new dates.

“We look forward to the rescheduled dates in Florida and getting back to see some of the greatest country fans in America,” Country Thunder CEO Troy Vollhoffer said. “We have always strived for excellence when it comes to the fan experience. But there has always been an acute awareness that a great music festival begins with fan safety, and the comfort of patrons who attend our events.”

The rodeo, scheduled for April 2-4 at the Silver Spurs Arena, “has been canceled for these dates,” its website reads “Please check back regularly for updates,” unclear just yet if it will be rescheduled.

Church, who was nominated for Grammys this year for Best Country Album (“Desperate Man”) and Song (“Some of It”), is scheduled to hit the state at Osceola Heritage Park at 9:30 on March 29 to bring the three-day Country Thunder event to an end.

Since crashing the country music scene in 2005, Church has released six studio albums — starting with “Sinners Like Me” in 2006, they’ve all gone platinum or multi-platinum. The latest release, 2018’s “Desperate Man” is well on it’s way. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums, and feature Church’s first two No. 1 single hits, “Some of It” and “Round Here Buzz”. He’s also released two live albums and 25 other singles.

“Desperate Man” was responsible for his most-recent CMA Award nominations, Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Music Video of the Year (for “Some Of It,” directed by Reid Long).

Church follows a Sunday lineup that includes Ashley Mcbryde, Lonestar, Jon Langston, Meghan Patrick and the Jason Lee Partin band, who won the Rising Thunder Battle of the Bands to get their spot.

An exciting lineup of top-level country talent will greet music lovers to the Country Thunder Music Festival March 27-29 at Osceola Heritage Park.
Eric Church, Kane Brown and Dierks Bentley headline the event, in its second year at OHP.

The announcement was made Thursday morning at Nemours Children’s Hospital, the philanthropic partner of Country Thunder; the two worked to raise some $84,000 for families of the young patients served.

“The proceeds of this partnership with Country Thunder will make an impact on children and families when they need it most,” Nemours Children’s Hospital President Dana Nicholson Bledsoe said.

The inaugural Country Thunder in Osceola County featured a lineup topped by Luke Combs, Luke Bryan and Toby Keith, so the only way to go bigger and better was a lineup with more superstars like Church, Brown and Bentley.

Brown’s stratospheric star continues to rise, as the Chattanooga native has emerged as a bona fide superstar and headliner, and Bentley is one of country music’s most consistently thrilling and engaging live acts.

The massive “Church Choir” will be out in full force for Sunday evening’s festival climax. It’s no secret that Florida is one of Church’s largest fan markets, while his recent Grammy nomination for Country Album Of The Year (Desperate Man) and the epic Double Down Tour have made 2019 his biggest year yet.

Country Thunder President and CEO Troy Vollhoffer said said thanks to a great performer list and a venue like Heritage Park with its acres of space, this year’s festival will be better than last year “just because”.

“We just try to keep supersizing it, we’re at a point we just compete with ourselves,” he said. “It was great last year, we have room to expand, so (OHP) is a great venue for our music festival.”

The lineup was announced early — ahead of Christmas, for your buying pleasure. It’s not a coincidence.

The supporting cast of talent will include Russell Dickerson and Ashley McBryde, as well as LANCO, Lonestar, Sawyer Brown, Parker McCollum, Dallas Smith, Jon Langston and Meghan Patrick.

In addition, County Commissioner Fred Hawkins announced Thursday that Country Thunder will partner with the Education Foundation of Osceola County to host a “Battle of the Bands” after the first of the year, and the winning band at that contest will get to appear on stage as part of the March festival.

“This just further impacts the entertainment value Country Thunder brings to Osceola County,” Hawkins said.

Three-day festival passes, platinum, camping and all the ticket packages are available by online at Countrythunder.com or can be ordered by phone at 1-866-388-0007. Information is available at the Country Thunder Facebook page or on Twitter and Instagram (both @countrythunder).
