At approximately 3:50, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7-11 gas station located at 6070 West U.S. Highway 192 near International Drive in reference to an armed robbery report. According to their report, three Hispanic males entered the business, pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded money. The suspects fled the area on foot, and it is unknown if they left in a vehicle.

On May 10, 2020, at 4:36 AM, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Hilliard Court in Kissimmee in reference to a shooting. Deputies discovered Camaco-Linares had been shot. The owner of the residence had been hosting a small party. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but several days later the victim succumbed to injuries sustained from the gunshot wound.

During the investigation, Colon-Vazquez was identified as the suspect in the shooting. An warrant was obtained for his arrest for Homicide. Wednesday, Colon-Vazquez was captured near San Juan, Puerto Rico by United States Marshal’s Service Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force. Colon-Vazquez is being held on no bond while awaiting extradition back to Florida.

Angel Javier Hernandez, 26, was arrested Tuesday and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

On March 10, the Sheriff’s Office was notified by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) of an incident regarding child sexual exploitation material. Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit began an investigation into the incident.

Tuesday, ICAC detectives served a search warrant at a Dusk Avenue home in Kissimmee. During the ensuing search, hundreds of videos depicting child sexual exploitation were located on electronic devices recovered from the residence. Hernandez cooperated with the investigation. Based on evidence obtained during the investigation, Hernandez arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail, and has since bonded out on a $25,000 bond.

On May 10 at approximately 10:30 p.m. a shooting occurred at an Old Dixie Highway residence near Benita Street and Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee. When Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene, they found a deceased male in the home who later identified as Cornel Omar Clarke, 38, a.k.a. “Briggy”.

A person of interest was observed on surveillance video in the area. This person is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, athletic but thin build, in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a hat backwards, T-shirt and basketball shorts.

Thaddeous Warrington, 19, and Mark Velez-Amador, 24, have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.  Lana Teresa Van, 17, was arrested as an accessory after the fact.

Early Saturday morning deputies responded to a home on Bonita Circle off Partin Settlement Road in regards to a possible shooting. They found evidence that a shooting did take place and that someone was injured, but no one involved in the incident was on scene when deputies arrived. Deputies and detectives worked continually to try to find the persons involved in this case.

Sunday morning, the Ocala Police Department responded to a brush fire within their jurisdiction. There they discovered a deceased male, Malik Brown, 37, who was later linked to Saturday’s shooting investigation. Also on Sunday, Daytona Beach Police Department stopped a vehicle belonging to Van and made contact with her, Warrington and Velez-Amador. Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to Ocala and Daytona Beach to continue their investigation.

The subjects involved in the case cooperated with the investigation and were later arrested. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on this incident should call the Osceola County Sheriff’s

At 10:37 p.m.., deputies responded to 2317 Old Dixie Highway in Kissimmee, in reference to a report of a shooting, and on arrival located a male deceased inside the residence from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was later identified as Cornell Omar Clarke, 38.

Jacob Alan Edmonds, 30, was arrested and charged with traveling to meet a minor for sex and use of computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child.

Back on March 12, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office ICAC Unit (Internet Crimes Against Children) assisted their Polk County counterparts during an operation to locate online predators. During the operation, a suspect later identified as Edmonds began and continued a sexually explicit conversation with who he believed to be a 14-year-old child. This online conversation continued sporadically for weeks after the operation ended.

Then on Thursday, the conversation again turned sexual and Edmonds wished to meet the “child” in person to engage in unlawful sexual activity. Instead of meeting a child as intended, Edmonds was met by detectives and placed under arrest. He was cooperative with the investigation and later booked into the Osceola County Jail on no bond.

Citing probable cause, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Demetrius Cox, 20, for murder in last week’s shooting death of Wolph Lutherking Luma. Cox was arrested Friday and is held at the Osceola County Jail on no bond.

On Tuesday, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired at the Stoney Brook South subdivision and located a scene of a possible shooting, but could not locate any victims. Deputies were later contacted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a shooting victim dropped off at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando. The shooting victim was later identified as Luma, 20, who later succumbed to his injuries. It is believed Luma was attending a house party in the area.

The incident was reported through numerous 911 calls around 4:30 a.m. on Strathmore Circle just off East Lakeshore Boulevard. Emergency responders heard gunshots at the home during the fire, took cover, and later found a neighbor with gunshot wounds; at last update that person was in stable condition at a hospital.

Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter, and when the SWAT team entered the home a man was found dead inside, with no other details. A Sheriff’s spokesperson said deputies had been called to the same home last week to serve an injunction.

The investigation continues as to the victim’s cause of death and details about what led to the shooting and fire.

Nicholas Rivera, 28, is currently being held at the Orange County Jail with a $250,000 bound. He was located at a relative’s residence in Orange County by the United States Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force and arrested, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported today. Osceola detectives obtained a warrant for the additional counts on Monday.

Rivera is the brother of Christopher Otero-Rivera and the son of Angel Luis Rivera, who were charged in the murder of Nicole Montalvo, Otero-Rivera’s estranged ex-wife. He was originally arrested on eight other child pornography counts on Nov. 19. Nicholas Rivera, Otero-Rivera’s brother, was also considered a person of interest in the investigation of the Nicole Montalvo murder.

Angel and Christopher are both scheduled for a court date on June 8, the week after the Osceola Clerk of Court announced today that it expects normal courthouse operations to resume, in the Montalvo murder case.
