The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has determined that only one of the two St. Cloud Police officers involved, Officer Devin Dunn, discharged his duty firearm. He has been with the St. Cloud Police Department since December 2019.

The fatal shot killed Jahsean Iandie Hodge, 21, who matched the description of a suspect in the stabbing of a juvenile victim blocks away minutes before. Hodge, Dunn and a fellow officer were involved in a confrontation before the shooting.

Dunn remains on administrative leave. This is an on-going investigation, and more information will be made available as the investigation permits.

The St. Cloud Police Department continues to aggressively investigate the vicious knife attack of the 9-year-old victim, as well as collect extensive evidence in this incident. This investigation is being conducted in partnership with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The victim remains hospitalized with substantial injuries.
