Toho Water Authority is announcing that shifting lanes closures on Neptune Rd. going westbound will start Thursday, August 13, 2020 at approximately 9 a.m. The lane closures will take place between Idora Blvd. and Westchester Dr. . The lane closures are necessary to conduct an assessment for an upcoming sewer rehabilitation project in the Glendale Dr. area. The Glendale Dr. entrance and exit on Neptune Rd. will be temporarily closed as well during this assessment.
The assessment project is being carried out by Garney Construction and is expected to be completed and the lanes reopened by the afternoon. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching these areas, as workers will be present and speed limits may be reduced and sidewalks possibly closed and diverted. Flaggers will be in place directing traffic when needed.
