Two men were arrested on charges of armed robbery, home invasion, and aggravated battery after forcing their way into into an elderly victim’s home then striking the victim in the face with a gun, according to the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.

On November 9, deputies responded to a home off of Disston Road in St. Cloud after being called about a possible armed home invasion.

According to Osceola deputies, the 64-year-old victim was met at the front door by two men armed with firearms. The suspects then forced their way into the home while one of the suspects struck the elderly victim in the face with a pistol.

The suspects entered the home, held the victim at gunpoint, and later fled the scene. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit identified the two men who committed the home invasion as 19-year-old Kevin Serrano and 20-year-old Hector Melendez-Figueroa.

On November 14 detectives arrested the two men, who both cooperated with the investigation and brought them to the Osceola County Jail with no bond on the charges of Armed Robbery Home Invasion and Aggravated Battery
