The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has started seeing an increase in purse thefts in the West 192 area recently. Most of the cases were being reported from Ross Clothing Stores and Marshalls.

Surveillance video from both stores showed that two black women were following victims around the stores waiting for them to leave their purses unattended. Once they had stolen the purses they immediately used any credit cards they could find to purchase Visa gift cards.

Osceola Sheriff detectives were able to identify the two suspects as 23 year-old Tyqueria Lashon Rivers and 32-year-old Classie Deisary Green.

On Friday January 4th Detective’s with the Osceola County West Property Crimes Unit and TPU served an arrest and search warrant on Rivers, at her home in Orlando. The search turned up items purchased with fraudulent credit cards and over 200 gift cards with a face value of over $30,000.

Rivers was charged with Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Credit Cards and Criminal Use of Personal Identification. On Wednesday January 9th Classie Deisary Green was arrested for Grand Theft X3 and Criminal Use of Personal Identification and booked into the Orange County Jail.

This investigation is continuing in an attempt to locate more victims and potentially more suspects.
