The 30th Anniversary Celebration of VIVA Osceola, presented by Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital and scheduled for this Saturday, October 8 at Kissimmee Lakefront Park, has been officially canceled.

“As our community recovers from Hurricane Ian, we want to be mindful of our community’s recovery needs. After speaking with all community partners on this event, it was decided that the most respectful course of action is to cancel this year’s event. The cancellation of this event allows the City of Kissimmee and Osceola County to focus their resources on the recovery process of our businesses and citizens. The Osceola Chamber will also continue to monitor response needs and identify opportunities to support our members,” said Chamber President/CEO John Newstreet.

Newstreet added, “Businesses with continued concerns and needs are encouraged to reach out to the chamber. We want to stress that you are not alone, and we are here to help. Our first responders have done an amazing job, and we are prepared to be an asset during the continuing long-term recovery.”

A donation in the name of VIVA Osceola will be made to Osceola REDI. Osceola REDI is a 501c3 non-profit organization that works with community partners in long term disaster recovery efforts. In the wake of Hurricane Ian, Osceola REDI is prepared to meet unmet or overlooked needs of our community.

Personal gifts and corporate donations are accepted to help provide vital assistance for our neighbors in need. Donations may be made at osceolaredi.org/donate.

The Osceola Chamber is a 501(c)6 membership organization that has served the business community of Osceola County for over a century. Their mission is to be Champions for Business and the Osceola Community.
