Walmart and Sam’s Club have announced that they will no longer require customers or employees who are fully vaccinated to wear masks.
The announcement comes a day after the CDC issued new masking guidelines.
U.S. Walmart and Sam’s Club employees who are vaccinated can stop wearing masks to work beginning Tuesday and will be asked about vaccination status on a health assessment.
Currently, masks are still required at Target, Walgreens, CVS, and many other large-scale businesses and organizations, but that could change as businesses and retailers process how to best move forward with regard to mask-wearing policies.
