Wild Florida—known for its thrilling airboat rides, expansive Gator Park, and drive-thru Safari Park—has announced the return of its wildly popular annual event, Gator Week, running May 26–31, 2025. This one-of-a-kind celebration honors one of Florida’s most iconic animals, the American alligator, and helps raise funds for graduating Osceola County high school seniors.

Known in the community for their deep knowledge and care for native wildlife, Wild Florida dedicates an entire week to educating visitors and busting common myths about alligators through fun, interactive, and safe experiences. From live demonstrations and feeding shows to guest appearances by some of our most popular Gator Park residents, Gator Week offers unforgettable, hands-on learning for guests of all ages.

Admission to the Gator Park is FREE with any cash donation to the Wild Florida Cares Scholarship Fund. All funds raised will go directly toward scholarships for graduating Osceola County high school seniors, helping them pursue their college dreams. Visitors can also add a little extra fun by spinning the prize wheel for just $5, with chances to win gator feed experiences, barnyard activities, and more!

Throughout the week, guests can enjoy a variety of daily events, including our thrilling Feeding Frenzy, where alligators show off their power as they chomp at their favorite treats. Our Gator Call Competition will spotlight different types of crocodilians, as guests try their hand at gator-calling for a chance to win wild prizes. At our Exotic Animal Show, visitors will get up close to some of the park’s most fascinating animals. 

And that’s just the tip of the tail — every single day of Gator Week brings something new: 

  • Monday, May 26 – Feeding Frenzy & Gator Call Competition: Kick off the week with two of our most exciting attractions. The Feeding Frenzy show dives into what really gets our gators jumping—and biting—as they snap up their favorite treats. Then, it’s time for the Gator Call Competition, where guests will meet a variety of crocodilian species and test their best gator call for a chance to win Wild Florida goodies and serious bragging rights!
  • Tuesday, May 27 – Rock Your Crocs: Guests who wear Crocs to the park will receive free chow to feed our alligators and crocodiles. Simply show your Crocs at the gazebo in the Gator Park to claim your chow, and don’t forget to strut your stuff by the Croc Squad for a fun interaction!
  • Wednesday, May 28 – Obstacle Relay: Fluffy’s “cousins” will take on a custom Wild Florida obstacle course in a lighthearted race filled with waddles, dashes, and plenty of photo-worthy moments! After the event, guests can pose for pictures with one of the racers.
  • Thursday, May 29 – Gator Slushie Drinking Contest: Gather around the Gator Pavilion, where participants can compete to see who can finish a green slushie the fastest—without using their hands. Entry is first-come, first-served, and the winner will take home a Wild Florida-themed prize.
  • Friday, May 30 – Jump-Like-A-Gator Competition: Inspired by the powerful vertical jumps of real alligators, this fun competition invites guests to meet in the Gator Pavilion and see who can launch the highest. The top jumper will win a Wild Florida-themed prize.
  • Saturday, May 31 – Croc Education with the Croc Squad: Gator Week concludes with a special educational session led by Wild Florida’s Croc Squad. Guests will learn what makes crocodilians unique, how they are cared for at the park, and have the opportunity to ask questions during this engaging and informative experience.
